What to Expect . . .

Whether you have a 100 year-old 2-family house downtown, commercial space, a mid-century ranch in the 'burbs or log cabin in the woods, a good design starts with an as-built floor plan. I visit your site, take measurements and pictures and then draft a plan showing everything as it is currently built.
I also survey spaces for folks who are planning to Age-in-Place. This means to live independently, as long as possible, in their own home. I identify barriers and find solutions to achieving that goal!
During our appointment, I ask lots of questions about functional and storage needs, goals for the space, how long you want to stay in the space, challenges you face in daily tasks, color/style preferences, etc. With this information, I draft a preliminary space and or furniture plan. We will work together to create solutions to meet your needs and wishes.
Small retail space, your home or 2-story office building, the end result will be greater efficiency, return-on-investment, more productive and nurturing to those who visit, live or work in the spaces.
CAD technology helps us visualize proposed changes.

On the LEFT, Brandeis University had a small, visually cold & unappealing, 3-story vaulted space that they wanted to convert into a convenience store for the students.
I came up with the solution to use large, free-form banners to bring the view down to a human level. The dynamic result won awards and was visible for a great distance!
